When I'm not doing graphic design, I like to get crafty (the good kind of crafty) with a pair of SCISSORS and hot glue gun, a spatula and whisk, a needle and thread, anything really. This is a collection of some of my artsy fartsy shenanigans.
I love sweets. Like love love sweets. (Then why don't you marry it??) And so I'll never turn down good cake .. unless it's fruitcake. No offense, creator of fruitcake, but I'm just not that into you. Until now. I made a fruitcake made out of just fruit, and it gave the term "fruitcake" a facelift. Finally, a cake you could guiltlessly eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I know white walls, white cabinets, white countertops, white everything is very trendy in home decor right now, but I just can't get into it. I love color. Bright, vibrant color. And lots of it. We have a large plain wall in our living room and instead of racking my brain to figure out what kind of artwork I could hang up on it, I decided to make the wall itself the artwork.

There's nothing worse (yes, highly exaggerated) than coloring with dull crayons, and so today was one of those days where I took action and did something about it — conducted a long overdue, much needed crayon sharpening session. And I already feel much better.
It's citrus season, and I like me some sweet navel oranges, cara cara oranges, blood oranges, and some tart lemons and limes! I also like me some Israel Kamakawiwoʻole.
I didn't discover Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar until becoming a mom, and I love it! And it's no surprise that my son loves it too. So it only seemed fitting to throw him a The Very Hungry Caterpillar-themed 1st birthday party. Here are some of the details I worked on.

I just got the coolest popsicle mold, and it makes 6 unique ocean-themed popsicles. How cute are these?? You can have even more fun mixing and matching the bodies and tails. :D
